The Numbers
Independent residency in the Lakeside Building, Cove East or Cove West is established with a one-time Entrance Fee. Entrance Fees contribute to capital improvements to the buildings and grounds, ensuring a well-maintained and sustainable community for years to come. An Entrance Fee affords access to campus-wide activities and amenities. It also affords CCRC residents access to assisted living services and the opportunity to age in place. Entrance Fees are set based on apartment size, vertical location, view, remodel status and number of occupants. If two people live in a residence, a second person Entrance Fee of five (5) percent applies.

Commonly Asked Questions
How does the meal plan work?
Designed to afford residents greater choice and flexibility, The Hearthstone’s meal points program is primarily applicable to dining services. In addition to food, points may also be used for most services such as concierge companion (think personal assistant,) concierge transportation, personal training, additional housekeeping services, professional services, and gift shop purchases.
Incoming residents receive twenty (20) points daily, which may be used as desired throughout the given month. Balances may be monitored in two easy ways. The Hearthstone uses Uniguest, which is a closed and secure resource portal for residents. In addition to a whole host of information including calendars, announcements, menus, directories, work orders, and messages, residents may access their points balances via the platform. Additionally, balances are printed at the bottom of receipts whenever points are used.
Is the Entrance Fee refundable?
The Hearthstone offers an amortizing (commonly referred to as non-refundable) contract option. During the first ninety (90) days of residency, ten (10) percent of the Entrance Fee becomes non-refundable. From there, the refundable amount declines at a rate of two (2) percent per month. At the end of forty-eight (48) months, no amount of money is available for refund. A refundable Entrance Fee contract may be available upon request.
What does the Monthly Service Fee cover?
Complimentary medical transportation (geographic parameters apply,) concierge transportation, cable television, flexible meal plan, WiFi, twice monthly housekeeping, local and long distance landline telephone service, a full complement of social, educational and recreational programming, and more are covered by the Monthly Service Fee. Is the Monthly Service Fee subject to change?
Based on the cost of labor, food, utilities and insurance (for the buildings and employees,) Monthly Service Fees are subject to annual increase. Advance notice is provided.
